PictureBox*? What's that?!

Well it is redefining what good photographic content looks like on the iPhone/iPod.

Imagine finding a rare forgotten box of old photos buried at some estate sale... and inside is a collection of precious specimens of time captured with the gelatin-silver process (black and white photography). We have done just that! These photographs that we've found all pre-date the 1930's and are in the public domain, copyright free. Presented once each image is scanned, cleaned, re-touched.

Enhanced with rich textures and heavy tones for your photo gazing pleasure, PictureBox* is setting the bar for quality galleries. The photographic paper tones and high contrast images from the original pictures are beautifully represented in this series of Apps. So stay tuned for more PictureBox* sets coming soon.

How to set a PictureBox* image as your wallpaper.

To take a screenshot with your iPhone or iPod Touch, just press the Home and Sleep buttons at the same time. The screen will flash white, and you may also get the camera shutter sound, and your screen will be captured. To access your screenshots go to Photos and on the iPhone, look in Camera Roll, while on the iPod Touch check out Saved Photos. Go to Settings, and Wallpaper, there select your recently captured image. Now you can enjoy any PictureBox* image as your wallpaper!
